Building Hope Through Mental Health
Courage and Grace Foundation advances mental health and well-being through an outpatient-supported mission focused on compassionate care, connection, education, and innovative therapeutic programs.
Healing Through Community
Courage & Grace Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing mental health and well-being through education, advocacy, community support, and innovative therapeutic programming. Our work is guided by an outpatient-supported mission, helping individuals and families access compassionate care, connection, and resources beyond the therapy room.
We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and healing environment where people of all backgrounds can find support and belonging. We are especially committed to serving marginalized communities — including members of the LGBTQIA+ community — who face disproportionate mental health challenges and increased risk of suicide.
Through education, advocacy, and sustained support, we work to reduce stigma, strengthen resilience, and empower individuals on their healing journey. By investing in preventive care and affirming mental health services, we aim to reduce suicide attempts and ensure every person feels seen, valued, and supported.
Every person deserves access to mental health care that affirms who they are.
A Safe and Affirming Space
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community face disproportionate mental health challenges and increased risk of suicide. Courage & Grace Foundation is committed to reducing that risk through affirming care, preventive services, and inclusive community support.
How We Support Mental Health
At Courage and Grace Foundation, we believe mental health care should be accessible, compassionate, and rooted in community. We support mental health and well-being through direct investment in people, programs, education, and the future of relational healing.
We are especially committed to supporting communities that have historically faced barriers to safe, affirming care — including the LGBTQIA+ community — while advancing suicide prevention through expanded access, education, and meaningful community connection.
Supporting Access to Compassionate Mental Health Care
We help expand access to relationship-centered, trauma-informed mental health care by supporting services that prioritize dignity, safety, and belonging. This includes uplifting affirming care environments for LGBTQIA+ individuals and others who have experienced stigma or systemic barriers to care.
Through our work, we help remove obstacles so more individuals and families can access the support they deserve — today and for generations to come.

Strengthening and Sustaining Mental Health Programs
We provide financial, operational, and community support to help mental health programs grow, innovate, and remain sustainable over time. We prioritize programs that offer inclusive, culturally responsive, and identity-affirming care — including those serving LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities disproportionately impacted by suicide risk.
Reducing Stigma Through Education and Advocacy
We are committed to changing how mental health is understood and talked about. Through education, community conversations, and advocacy, we work to normalize seeking help and promote mental health as an essential part of overall well-being. Our work includes openly addressing suicide prevention and encouraging early support, connection, and access to affirming care — especially for populations where risk is statistically higher, including LGBTQIA+ youth and adults.
The Groundwork
A safe and comfortable space in which to fully breathe free is imperative for healing, growth, and personal goals to be actualized. From this foundation, our ongoing service to those in need will grow across a variety of essential spaces.
-
Nourishment, Connection, and Dignity
At Courage and Grace Foundation, we recognize that mental health is deeply connected to basic human needs — including access to nourishing food, safe community spaces, and opportunities for connection.
Our on-site Community Kitchen is designed to be more than a place to prepare or receive food. It is a space where nourishment, belonging, and human connection come together to support overall well-being.
-
Expression, Regulation, and Healing
At Courage and Grace Foundation, we believe healing happens in many forms — not just through words, but through creativity, expression, and shared human experience.
Our Community Art Room provides a safe, welcoming space where individuals can explore creative expression as a pathway to emotional processing, nervous system regulation, identity exploration, and connection.
No artistic experience is required. This is a space for exploration, not perfection.
-
Healing Through Safety, Expression, and Play
At Courage and Grace Foundation, we recognize that play is a powerful and essential pathway to healing — especially for children, adolescents, and individuals processing trauma or complex emotional experiences.
Our Play Therapy Rooms are thoughtfully designed, developmentally appropriate therapeutic environments where individuals can safely explore emotions, build regulation skills, and process experiences through play-based expression.
Play is not “just play.” It is how many people — especially children — communicate, learn, and heal.
-
Regulation, Restoration, and Safe Pause
At Courage and Grace Foundation, we believe healing requires space — space to breathe, pause, regulate, and simply exist without pressure.
Our Resting Room is a calm, low-stimulation environment designed for clients, family members, and caregivers who need time to regulate their nervous systems, decompress emotionally, or take a supportive pause during or between services.
This space exists because regulation is not a luxury. It is essential to mental health and healing.
-
Safe Spaces for Individual, Family, and Group Healing
At Courage and Grace Foundation, we believe healing happens in safe, intentional, relationship-centered spaces. Our Therapy Session Rooms are designed to provide private, welcoming, and trauma-informed environments where individuals, families, and groups can engage in meaningful therapeutic work.
These spaces support a wide range of therapeutic approaches while prioritizing emotional safety, dignity, and connection.
-
Nature, Restoration, and Connection
At Courage and Grace Foundation, we recognize that healing doesn’t only happen indoors. Nature offers powerful opportunities for nervous system regulation, reflection, movement, and connection.
Our Healing Outdoor Space is intentionally designed to provide a safe, peaceful, and inclusive environment where individuals and families can reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the natural world.
Nature can calm, ground, and restore — often in ways that words cannot.
Mentoring and Supporting Future Relational Healers
We invest in the next generation of mental health professionals by supporting mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities. We encourage training pathways that emphasize inclusive, affirming, and suicide-informed care so future relational healers are equipped to serve diverse communities with competence, humility, and compassion.
Be Part of the Work
Your generosity helps fund suicide prevention efforts, expand access to affirming mental health care, and equip the next generation of relational healers.
